IT'S OUR HAPPY ANNIVERARY

Today is a special day even though we are not going to get to celebrate it as specially as we have in the past. Michael and I are now married for four years! The first two anniversaries we celebrated by going away for a surprise mini vacation. The first year was spent at a bed and breakfast in Savannah, GA and it was so wonderful. The next year we went to Middleton, North Carolina and stayed in a sort of cabin on a beautiful wooded lot with lots of trails and some historic sites as well. Wistfully, for reasons beyond our control we have not been able to go anywhere these past two years, but "hope springs eternal" for the future...

I found this picture of these six hearts and decided that the two big ones could represent Michael and I and the little ones each represent a year together...

How perfect was this find of mine? We are doing all kinds of "farming" lately and here is a heart of cranberries! We even put out the fish emulsion yesterday and my hands still have that faint smell of fish...maybe rubber gloves next time?

I already gave Michael a little anniversary gift and he gave me tons of laughs by trying to say the tongue twisters in a book full of them!! Let me know if you (or anyone you challenge) can manage to say "ape cakes, grape cakes" fast three times...he even said eight crepes at one point!

~~~Thank you, dear Lord for all of the many anniversaries of all kinds that You bless us with.
  3. I wish you many,many happy years together. I am I little envious Marcy, Jake and I will be married twenty years in Dec. and of those years, because of his job, we have been together on our anniversary only five of them. They were all good though! We've learned to make the most of the time we do have together. Anyway I hope you have a special day! Happy Anniversary!
  4. My heartiest congratulations...Many of our 40 years of anniversaries are most special by the fact that they were not so special. They were days that we shared times with the kids, and family not for the anniversary itself but because of family. Many times a quiet dinner out or a movie just wasn't possible. And we weren't even together on our 1st anniversary because he was at boot camp in KS. Starting then and there I learned to cherish each one we had together just as the came. You are storing up some very grand treasures even now! God bless you! Cathy
