:o) OUR VILLAGE "HUGS".....OPEN TO ALL :o)

I can't speak for everyone else, but I am TOTALLY enjoying the idea of all of us being a part of this wonderful "Village"!! There are no qualifications to join, other than being able to care and be compassionate and be uplifting for one another, so come one, come all and join The Village People!! (Do you think we need to add that they have to learn the YMCA song and how to swing their arms around?? At first I am pretty hysterical trying to get it right!)

This could be a challenge if you come across someone else who read this....You never know when you might be hugging a little (or big) angel....

We don't always have these words all around us, but basically, this IS what we are all about....
It's okay to "monkey around" (joke and tease) as long as the hugs and love are there...

Have you hugged a tree today? Just do it with a friend, old or brand new....

When you realize how short the world is on hugs, you may need to consider doing this....

Everyday, in my e-mail I get some information on the Saint of the day, so it was another "God moment" for me to discover today's reflection was on Mary, the Mother of Our Saviour and how this fits into making the world more loving and peace filled. This Village of ours is doing just that, one person at a time!!!

"The word “sister” is a reminder that Mary is very close to us. She is the daughter of God and therefore can help us be authentic daughters and sons of God. She also can help us grow in appreciation of being sisters and brothers to one another. She leads us to a new realization that all human beings belong to the family of God. When such a conviction grows, there is hope that the human race can find its way to peace.

Quote:
“The various forms of piety toward the Mother of God, which the Church has approved within the limits of sound and orthodox doctrine, according to the dispositions and understanding of the faithful, ensure that while the mother is honored, the Son through whom all things have their being (cf. Colossians 1:15–16) and in whom it has pleased the Father that all fullness should dwell (cf. Colossians 1:19) is rightly known, loved and glorified and his commandments are observed” (Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, 66). "

Anyone who was visiting Teresa's blog site @ Do The Write Thing and the comments section could tell that this is our openness to newcomers as everyone got so excited by a new visitor to her site!!! I know that I am excited every time someone new leaves a comment here and that my heart is warmed by all the special 'regulars' who bless me with comments as well.

Teresa's site also now has some terrific YMCA songs you can click on...these people REALLY know how to do the letters...

Maybe we all need to get this toothbrush and if nothing else we could drive family members a little crazy playing it....

Or bendable figures could remind us of who we should be and how we should sing....
Or just grab a fur baby (any one's anywhere, but make sure it's not a feral one, unless you're in Wanda's yard where all living creatures thrive and interact with gentleness)...

  2. Nice post, Marcy!

And so happy to have you be the Village Coordinator!
How do you keep up with all the villagers? I have a hard time with keeping up with just a few! There's just not enough hours in the day!
And do you know what's getting bad? I was beginning to get resentful of intrusions on my 'blogging life'!!
My brother-in-law recently said, "If you get on that computer today we are disowning you! Come back to the real world!" I laughed so hard!
But I really do feel bad if I miss a post! I enjoy you all so much!

    Happy blogging, everyone!
