Another TRY to fix the problem

Now I have removed a lot of my widgets in hopes that will solve this problem, so I guess time will tell.  Michael seemed to think that one of them could have gone bad and caused problems so let's see what happens now!

My old camera took this photo of Kelly last July when I took her to the beach for her birthday...thought it might be appropriate considering the crazy things my blog is doing!...

My favorite this Friday would be a blog that stays open for everyone!

~~~Thank You Lord for the blessings of suggestions and for the effort of using them.
Saturday gets Friday's Favorite...Great Green Things
This was supposed to be posted yesterday as a Friday favorite but it now will be a Saturday post posing as a Friday one.
Although I truly love all colors, green does stay my favorite color. It just draws me to itself in many things and many ways. Who can resist a cute little leprechaun? Certainly not an Irish lass like me...
This guy is a tad big for being a leprechaun as well as a wee bit too big for his bike...
And to keep our minds informed and learning more, here is something about green from the Internet (you can click on the title for the site)....
Color Green
"Green is the color of nature, fertility, life. Grass green is the most restful color. Green symbolizes self-respect and well being. Green is the color of balance. It also means learning, growth and harmony. Green is a safe color, if you don't know what color to use anywhere use green.
Green is favored by well balanced people. Green symbolizes the master healer and the life force. It often symbolizes money. It was believed green was healing for the eyes. Egyptians wore green eyeliner. Green eyeshades are still used. You should eat raw green foods for good health. Friday is the day of green. Green jade is a sacred stone of Asia.
Green Energy
Green contains the powerful energies of nature, growth, desire to expand or increase. Balance and a sense of order are found in the color green. Change and transformation is necessary for growth, and so this ability to sustain changes is also a part of the energy of green.
Put some green in your life when you want:
a new state of balance
feel a need for change or growth
freedom to pursue new ideas
protection from fears and anxieties connected with the demands of others
Green gem stone properties
Green gemstones are used to attract money, prosperity and wealth. They are balancing stones that promote growth and fertility. Carry, wear or place green gemstones around your home or office to promote balance, change and growth."
While living in Arizona I learned to appreciate and love the cacti there. Here is a blooming prickly pear cactus and you can actually pick the ripened fruit, eat it as is, make jelly from it, use it in breads, etc...
And bananas are not only so good for you, but they are even a beautiful green before turning a yummy yellow...
And I so dearly love the woods and walking through the woods so this picture looks like a little piece of Heaven to me...
Here is a picture not only of a beautiful sunset in Arizona but also of the famous Saguaro cacti which are protected by state law...
And how can one not like a heart shaped cactus?...
This reminds me of a scene that could be in Ireland as I do remember seeing such beautiful greens (but usually with lots and lots of stone walls) when we visited there.....
And then we have another favorite with my favorite color, a Christmas tree. The smell of fresh pine just causes me to feel euphoric...
Beautiful fields like this one that is also farmed, just look like a monument to ease the spirit and refresh the eyes...
A nice contrast of two vibrant colors and red was my loving late hubby Mario's favorite color...
Land being used to grow wonderful things in lots of shades of green....
Yet another woodland scene where I would like to place a hammock, but if there were alot of bugs, I might need a 'bodyguard' lookout...think Diana would be great at this....
Now this looks like a moment captured by Wanda, so fresh and sweet....
When being "color coded" many years ago I learned that every color fits every person but it is important to remember that the shade of the color is what works for one and not another.
Green is just so soothing to me and it also is a symbol of hope...
Let's help keep the earth green by smiling and laughing....
One day, a man walked into an appliance store.
"Do you sell color televisions?"
"Yes," said the clerk. "Yes, we do."
"Then give me a green one.
"
A favorite story among color-film processors concerns the negative of a poodle which a woman sent to a photo-finishing lab. When the print was made, the dog came out looking green. Figuring that there must have been a mistake in the color balance, a problem which plagues color processors, the lab tried again and again, and finally got the dog to come out a kind of improbable tan.
The woman who sent in the negative was furious when she got the picture of the tan poodle, which, she informed the lab, she had dyed green.
Keep the Green Side Up!
A woman hired a contractor to repaint the interior of her house. The woman walked the man through the second floor of her home and told him what colors she wanted for each room.
As they walked through the first room, the woman said, "I think I would like this room in a cream color."
The contractor wrote on his clipboard, walked to the window, opened it and yelled out, "Green side up!"
He then closed the window and continued following the woman to the next room. The woman looked confused, but proceeded with her tour.
"In this room, I was thinking of an offblue."
Again, the contractor wrote this down, went to the window, opened it and yelled out, "Green side up!"
This baffled the woman, but she was hesitant to say anything. In the next room, the woman said she would like it painted in a light rose color.
And once more, the contractor opened the window and yelled, "Green side up!"
Struck with curiosity, the woman mustered up the nerve to ask, "Why do you keep yelling 'Green side up' out my window every time I tell you the color I would like the room?"
The contractor replied, "Because I have a crew of blondes laying sod across the street."
We Want Two Budgies
Two blonde guys walk into a pet store. One says to the store owner, "We want four budgies."
The owner asks, "Do you want two males and two females, or all males or all females."
The blonde says, "It doesn't matter. Whatever you have."
The owner then asks, "Is green okay? We only have shades of green."
Again, the blonde says, "It doesn't matter. Whatever you have."
The owner says, "OK, then," gets four random budgies and puts them in a pet carrier. The second blonde guy gets out his wallet and pays for them. They leave with the birds.
They then drive to a high cliff. The first blonde reaches into the pet carrier and takes out two of the birds. Grasping them firmly, he flaps his arms and jumps off the cliff. He falls like a rock and goes SPLAT at the bottom.
The second blonde looks over the cliff at his friend and says, "Dang. This budgie jumping isn't what it's cracked up to be."
~~~Thank You Lord for the blessings of all the beautiful greens on this earth, may we respect and preserve them always.

Random Friday Favorites and "REAL" photos

Now I just have to hope and pray that none of you goes into catatonic shock because this WHOLE post contains 'real' pictures, not a single one snagged from the Internet (bet you thought I was hooked and couldn't break the habit by now). These are random but wonderful favorites. First we have some exceptionally lovely flowers sent to me for my birthday by a very dear friend...

Next we have something strange (imagine me posting something strange!) but you can blame this on Wanda @Moments of Mine because she has those gorgeous breath taking mushrooms that she takes photos of, so here are some night time mushrooms that popped up all over our front lawn after a heavy rain about a week ago....

Here's a tiny baby one (you know I love everything baby)....

This was the biggest one and you even get have a few free weeds thrown in with it (aren't you lucky?)...

They formed a cute little path as if they were going somewhere...

When I originally looked at these very dark photos, the mushrooms looked like they were glowing, but they seem to have lost their glow...where or where did it go?.....

These guys pale in comparison to Wanda's mushrooms so it's okay if you go pshaw to them...

Kelly went out and hand picked them all so we wouldn't spread the spores when we mowed...

Time for some color, folks, so here we have three giraffes (one lost its' get up and go), one poodle and one mouse that I got when I went to my friend's grandson's three year old birthday. Things like this make it worth going to a three year old party....

As I have shared before my daughter Ria doesn't want her pictures or her family on the Internet, so this slightly blurry and from the back snap shot should still pass inspection. That's little baby Julia with her.....

Here's adorable Julia's little feet in croc shoes (they finally found the missing one) which are funny frogs and her mom had told her to cross her feet so that we could push her on her little tricycle...

Here I am with my friend Carolyn (with the lovely hat her daughter gave her for free) and her daughter Sharon at the three year old party in Columbus, GA. Do you think her daughter looks like her? That pink hair probably comes from some great great grandparent...

Here's Sharon again...boy she really knows how to dress. Anyone want me to ask her where she shops?....

This is a stray dog that Sharon's husband picked up on his way to work, but they had not yet found the owners...
Before we get to the funny part (maybe I should say funnIER part) of this post. I would like to share with you my thanks to Our Heavenly Father for watching over Kelly yesterday evening when her car hydroplaned and is now basically totalled but driveable. She is safe (thank You, thank You dear God) and hit only the abutments but the car is pitiful looking. Today we will find out if anyone can duct tape it back together without costing a fortune or if we have to look for another used car for her.
It was a double whammy day yesterday as I found a very shy and friendly pit bull female who recently had puppies and her ears cropped while I was walking Tinkabelle, so I am sending ardent prayers that her owners are loving inspite of the fact that her ears were cropped as an adult (she still has stitches in them) and that she has had puppies already. We checked for a chip locator at our vets and there is non but we can call the only local vet who (sadly) still crops ears.
I found this on the (where else) Internet and it was labeled "Women's Five Toughest Questions"
(I just pray the hubbies out in blogland know the right answers or the insurance questioning may be done by the wives!)

"The questions are:
1. What are you thinking about?
2. Do you love me?
3. Do I look fat?
4. Do you think she is prettier than me?
5. What would you do if I died?

What makes these questions so difficult is that every one is guaranteed to explode into a major argument if the man answers incorrectly (i.e., tells the truth). Therefore, as a public service, each question is analyzed below, along with possible responses.

Question # 1:

What are you thinking about?

The proper answer to this, of course, is:

"I'm sorry if I've been pensive, dear. I was just reflecting on what a warm, wonderful, thoughtful, caring, intelligent woman you are, and how lucky I am to have met you."

This response obviously bears no resemblance to the true answer, which most likely is one of the following:

A. Football.
B. Golf.
C. How fat you are.
D. How much prettier she is than you.
E. How I would spend the insurance money if
you died.

(Perhaps the best response to this question was offered by Al Bundy, who once told Peg, "If I wanted you to know what I was thinking, I would be talking to you!")

Question # 2:

Do you love me?

The proper response is: "YES!" or, if you feel a more detailed answer is in order, "Yes, dear." Inappropriate responses include:

A. I suppose so.
B. Would it make you feel better if I said yes?
C. That depends on what you mean by love.
D. Does it matter?
E. Who, me?

Question # 3:

Do I look fat?

The correct answer is an emphatic: "Of course not!" Among the incorrect answers are:

A. Compared to what?
B. I wouldn't call you fat, but you're not exactly
thin.
C. A little extra weight looks good on you.
D. I've seen fatter.
E. Could you repeat the question? I was just
thinking about how I would spend the insurance
money if you died.

Question # 4:

Do you think she's prettier than me?

Once again, the proper response is an emphatic: "Of course not!" Incorrect responses include:

A. Yes, but you have a better personality
B. Not prettier, but definitely thinner
C. Not as pretty as you when you were her age
D. Define pretty
E. Could you repeat the question? I was just
thinking about how I would spend the insurance
money if you died.

Question# 5:

What would you do if I died?

A definite no-win question. (The real answer, of course, is "Buy a Corvette.") No matter how you answer this, be prepared for at least an hour of follow-up questions, usually along the these lines:
Woman: Would you get married again?
Man: Definitely not!
W: Why not, don't you like being married?
M: Of course I do.
W: Then why wouldn't you remarry?
M: Okay, I'd get married again.
W: You would? (with a hurtful look on her face)
M: Yes, I would.
W: Would you sleep with her in our bed?
M: Where else would we sleep?
W: Would you put away my pictures, and replace
them with pictures of her?
M: That would seem like the proper thing to do.
W: And would you let her use my golf clubs?
M: Of course not, Dear. She's left-handed."
~~~Lord, thank You for the blessings of being safe under difficult circumstances and counting those blessings.
Touching The World by Remembering With Love
There are so many beautiful remembrances of the tragedy of 9/11 and I'd like to share a few as I pray for all others to pray and to help make this world whole again. Jesus was cradling the Twin Towers that day and hoping that all those deaths would not be in vain....
When we or others make wrong choices we must then leave it all .....
Even when we don't see Him or feel His Presence, He is always there if we call on Him...
A hero is someone who loves and shows it....
We save one another in BIG ways like this and in powerful ways like daily love and prayer...
What adds color to our life and problems is reaching out and finding ways to help and save and heal others...
Every day remember to pray and remember to remember with love...
This did not just affect just the United States, but the whole world, just as ALL world events affect us as well...
Every tiny piece of everything in life is important to God and should be important to us....
Love is remembering all who have sacrificed and loved...
Prayers help those who help others, so we pray and pray...
There can never be too many signs of caring....
Dogs give and gave without asking why to help the helpless and to give hope and love....
May they be happy beyond belief and may their families be blessed by God....
Heroes are still all around us in so many shapes and sizes and forms, so please give them a smile, a prayer and be kind....
Though this is two years ago, still we remember but even better, with more prayer...
Amazing and sad how many names there are of lives that ended that day...
Today I am wearing a nice big flag pin....
Love comes in many shapes and sizes...
And now to leave you, hopefully praying and also smiling....
What is the difference between Bird Flu and Swine Flu?
For bird flu you need tweetment and for swine flu you need oinkment
Love Is...
A group of children, four to eight years old, were asked the question, "What does love mean?" Here are their insightful answers.
Johnny, Age 4
When a person loves you, they say your name different. You just know your name is safe in their mouth.
Dallas, Age 7
Love is when your mom makes a cup of coffee for your dad and she takes a sip of it before she gives it to him, to make sure it is okay.
Sue, Age 6
If you want to learn how to love better, you should start with someone you hate.
Donna, Age 6
My mommy loves me more than any one else. You don't see anybody else kissing me good night when I go to bed.
Sandi, Age 8
When my grandma got arthritis, she couldn't bend over to paint her toenails anymore. So my granddad does it for her, even after he got arthritis, too. That's love.
Andy, Age 7
Love is what is in the room on Christmas if you stop opening your presents and listen.
Jake, Age 6
Love is when a little old man and a little old woman are still friends, even after they know each other so well.
Dennis, Age 5
Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on after shave and then they go out together and smell each other.
Georgia, Age 7
Love is when you tell a boy you like his shirt and then he wears it everyday.
Chloe, Age 4
Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.
Annie, Age 5
Love is when mommy gives daddy the best piece of chicken.
Jackie, Age 4
Love is when your puppy licks your face even when you left him alone all day.
Joe, Age 7
Love is when daddy comes in all sweaty and smelly and mommy still tells him that he is handsomer than Robert Redford.
Jenny, Age 8
When I had my piano recital, I was on the stage and I was scared. I looked out at all the people looking at me. Then I saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that and I wasn't sacred anymore.
Bruce, Age 8
Love is when you go out to dinner with someone and you give them most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.
Vanessa, Age 8
You really shouldn't tell somebody that you love them unless you mean it. But if you do mean it, you should tell them a lot. People forget.
Marissa, Age 4
Love is when your older sister gives you all her old clothes because, then she has to go out and buy new ones.
Amy, Age 8
Love is when you kiss all the time. Then after you are tired of kissing, you still want to be with each other and you talk more. My daddy and mommy are like that. When they kiss, they look gross.
Andrea, Age 7
You know you love someone because your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.
~~~Lord, I thank You for the blessing of being able to love, please teach us that love is the answer no matter what or where or who.
