No, I did not "re-disappear"

(I did a pallet knife painting of a sunflower and butterfly for Cheryl but this is as close as I have in my files).

These last few days have been very eventful, with two major occurrences:

1st...my very dear friend Cheryl died and her wake was today, Wednesday, at 4:00 p.m., but I was unable to attend because of the number two occurrence.  However, I feel VERY blessed that God allowed me to enjoy special time with Cheryl just a few weeks ago when I co-hosted a tea party for her at my friend Carolyn's home (easier for Cheryl since I live over 100 miles away).  Cheryl fought a valiant battle with breast cancer that went into remission then she was diagnosed with liver, stomach and brain cancer and yet she stayed the same sweet (but VERY thin) and unselfish person she always had been.  Heaven must be ever so happy to have her while those of us here shed tears for what we no longer have the privilege of being around.

(This little guy is a pain killer...hee hee)

2nd...Michael will undergo surgery tomorrow for a complete replacement of his defibrillator/pacemaker.  With God's blessing it will be a short surgery and he will go home afterward.  If the leads are messed up going into his heart then it may mean a stay at the hospital.  Please raise up a prayer for him my friends.

Something e-mailed to me that will (or should bring a smile to your face):

  4. I'm so sorry about your friend Marcy. I think I remember you writing about her before?
I will keep you and Michael in my prayers. Glad to see that you were able to break away from the farming to visit with us. You know they say that it's very addictive. Love Di ♥

  5. So sorry about your friend, and I think I remember another post about her too. You made a visit to her last year, right?
I will keep her, and Michael, and you in my prayers today.
    Give Michael my best.

I don't have any access to Jackie's blog either.
    Love to you,
    Eileen
PS ~ NOT funny! You know I'm so bad at math!
And tell Diana that 'farming' is only addictive when it's all working smoothly, once the problems start it's not so attractive anymore. It's just the 'connections' made through Facebook that are addicting. It's the same with blogging.
'LOVE the people but HATE the hassles!

  6. Now that made me giggle. :) I am sorry to hear you lost your friend...friends are a dear gift from God. I pray the defib/pacemaker surgery goes well... was it a recall or do you have to have them replaced every so often? My husband has a defib. Blessings. Dee

  8. You are so funny -- And such an inspiration that you share laughter still in the midst of sorrow and worry. 'Cause we know you must be sorrowing and worrying. Praying for your good friend, Marcy, and for a safe surgery for Michael -- and for you, the tower of strength in your home. Happy Thanksgiving!

  12. Marcy... U B soooo funny!!!
First of all, I don't have a secret code, you silly red head. YOU have the password...It's your password for getting into/onto blogger.
Perhaps the reason you can't access my blog is that you have changed your e-mail address...and if you have done that, you have to be sent another invitation to step into the TEACHER'S CLASSROOM...aka "Teacher's Pet"....and I might add, I have missed you. You have been truant. You have been skipping class....and you might have to sit in the corner (or maybe I'll give you a pass on that....and just let you get by with a frown...and then a smile from Jackie.)
I've missed you. Let me know if you can't get to my blog, my friend.
I'm glad to see that you have re-disappeared (?) and are back to blogging. (You ARE back...right???) You will be visiting this page again soon....right???? :)))
Hugs and a very blessed new year to you, my friend. You have my e-mail address....and if you can't get to my blog, e-mail me...and we'll see what's wrong. No secret code to get in....you simply have to come and log in. You have permission. I would never not admit Marcy to class. She is simply too sweet and too much fun to not be in my class. What would school be without her.
    Love you, my friend.
    Jackie
